gutters

i painted a dorimer on the roof this week. i thought it would be a nice easy job, boy was i wrong. it was in a state of total disrepair but being up on the roof it was difficult to see all the paint flaking off. the slope of the roof made it a tough job. i kept sliding down the roof so i had to brace myself with my poor old legs. spending 3 hours using leg muscles ain't easy. there were chunks of old paint everywhere and i didn't want to get them in my storm drains so i got the old leaf blower and blew them off the roof.

a few slid into the gutters so i decided to blow them out. it worked like a fecking charm. not only did the paint chips disappear, so did all the pine needles and other shit that had been accumulating all summer. i went all the way around the roof in about 10 minutes and now have totally clean gutters. using the ladder and a scoop would have taked several hours of tough dirty work.

if you have dirty gutters, give them a blow job.

on a separate note, i watched part of the office last night. i think it has run its course and should be put out of its misery. the first season i laughed out loud quite often. the second season i laughed out loud a few times. last season i didn't laugh out loud at all but still watched it quite often. last night it was painful to watch. it's now in that stale stage where it's living off its past glory in my opinion.

i love that fiddle playing son of a bitch.

Great idea... my gutters need a blow job before the real rains begin. Hee hee.

And speaking of begining... perfect song choice for the day when Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown.

i have always known that if you want good results in anything a good blow job is the way to go..
i have never watched the office...
i like my shows to have dead bodies in them.

..An old roofer's trick:Pop a few nails in a 2x4,horizontal to your work for footing support.
You can remove it without damage to the roof.
Love me some Hebrew fiddlin'!

ananda - i'm gonna give my gutters a blow job every week. (if they treat me good)

yellowdog - i like lots of bloodshed too. it's way better than that mushy love crap.

sling - thanks for the tip but my brand new roof is the best thing in my life right now. i wouldn't want to puncture it.

That is actually a really good idea. One would probably want to do that before pressure-washing the side of the house, though.

At our age we need to be careful on roofs. Sometimes on steep ones I use a safety line.

I don't have a leaf blower, I use a high pressure washer to clean roofs and blow gutters out. It can be a bit messy but sometimes so are blow jobs. :-)

recently i signed up for daily horoscopes and tarot readings. i like them.

Rolls eyes, here is your horoscope for the rest of your life. Shit will happen, learn to deal with it. Try to see what is coming at you and prepare for it the best you can.

Ananda Girl is very nice, the trip was nice, but I won't have time to start posting about it until I return from a few days painting for a lady.

I see people on their roofs all the time using leaf blowers. I can't look - I'm araid they are going to fall off.
