lost

try as i might, i just couldn't get into lost. i tried several times but it just wouldn't take. then i ran across the dvd's in the library. god bless dvd's.

i've been a busy boy. in the past few weeks i've watched season 1, season 2 and half of season 3. i like the stuff on the island but some of those flashbacks to develop the characters are a pain in the arse. that's probably why i couldn't be bothered watching in on tv.

a few nights ago an episode brought a smile to my face. that isn't easy these days.

there's just something about old vw vans that make me smile. i've also recently started watching the lone gunmen. it makes my day watching the boys hop into the old vw van and head down the road.

i'm a big melvin frohike fan these days.

I learned to divre in a VW bus (well, a tractor first, but the VW was the first car.) We also had one when I was in kindergarten and moved from Boston to San Francisco in it.

One of our teachers who was not used to a clutch couldn't get our VW Van like this over the top of a hill in SF... so we all hopped out and got behind and pushed it over the top. I'd like to see someone try that with a Carivan.

Thanks for the video... made me smile big too. Hurly is my guy on lost. The hero of the show. Charlie was a close second... miss his character.

As for Melvin Frohike... I'd be happy to dance a tango with him anytime!

Interesting vid but if monkeys are going to risk killing themselves and have any kind of an estate and kids they should have a will and some good insurance to care for the kids or society gets stuck with the bill. But maybe no one cares about that?

VW's are cool but I've never owned one and it's too late to get one now, they are collectors and expensive and it can cost up to ten grand or more to restore one.

Replacing a camper van top is a real pain best left to professionals, and expensive. If you can even find someone to do it.

I had a friend with a van that he had put a Porsche engine in, that was cool.

I always wanted a VW van,but never made the leap.
I did have a 1964 VW Bug that I drove across the rockies in during a blizzard!
The thing just kept going and going.
..I loved that car.

Yep, John Locke is great too. I was almost Mrs. Locke once upon a time. Small world.

Oh haha. You know that is the 1st time that I’ve played turtle. I always thought that the interactiveness was they just swam around. Yeah never mind the instruction please feed the turtles.

Okay now you need the instruction…please stop feeding the turtles Apos. I’ve made them spinout chasing the mouse pellets. Then started thinking I was playing dodgem cars with ‘em. Crashing them into each other.

The vw vans…we called them kombie vans always usually had a surfboard or camping gear attached. Much like the Holden Panel Vans always had the “Don’t come a’knocking if the vans a’rockin” stickers attached.

I thought Hurley never would pop that clutch. He said "Push!" at first, I kept expecting him to start yelling "Pull! Pull!"
