armistice day

i have to be fast because i have 10 minutes before i have to shut up and remember the dead of ww1. it seems the war to end all wars didn't really teach us any lessons. i guess our human brains are hard wired for violence.

time to observe a few moments of silence.

I know this one by heart... and so sang along. (Be glad you weren't there to hear that!)

A perfect song for today, billy. Thank you.

Willie McBride... rest in peace indeed.

ananda - john mcdermott does have a sweet voice. he's a canadian, we stole him from scotland.

so we got that going for us too.

sage - it's a pretty sad song too when he sings "i hope you died well and i hope you died clean" it chokes me up.

yellowdog - i've been listening to john mcdermott for a long time and still chokes me up.

Wars offend me so much anymore that I refuse to honor any veterans. In any country anywhere.

To any veterans out there,
"Thank you for your service to our country."

bbc - but they died for your sins. wait a minute, i think that was someone else.

tex - there aren't many ww1 vets left so we better thank them now.
