whilst the marketing people, data re-packagers and special interest groups are bitching and moaning about the national census i quietly conducted my last turtle census of the season this afternoon. i counted 9 of the little baskers enjoying the late summer sun. the highest count i got this summer was 17. i have to go see my radio repairman (doctor) tomorrow so i was feeling a little down. nothing picks up my spirits like gazing upon a group of turtles piling on top of each other on an old log. the world needs more turtles.
the turtles lifted my spirits so much that i decided to ride the old bike into a gaggle of canada geese at full speed. i was expecting a bit of a fight from them but they folded like a house of cards. i was feeling pretty tough until i noticed a bunch of goose shit on my tires. so it goes.
i picked up robert plants new album this morning and am happy to say i love it. it truly is a band of joy. plant and dylan seem to be aging like fine wine while jagger and tyler are living on botox and surgery trying to cheat father time.
this doesn't do the album justice but you'll get the idea.
i love you sons of bitches.

As anyone who lives near geese; if you got geese you got goose poop!
I agree with sprit lifting turtles, though I've not seen many of those since I moved to the city.
I rescued this one turtle over here by the apts about 4 times...I'd find him in the middle of the road, take him to the field..a week later there he'd be..so I put him on the other side..there he'd be in the middle of the fucking road..last time I rescued him it was in middle of the railroad track and damn near got both of us kilt saving his ass..that time I took him to Anissa and Ink's and said this is 'Leo' give him a good home..he's still there as far as I know..
I love that song by them..
Well "shit on my tires", Robert Plant STILL sounds good !
I'm an old Zep fan, myself.
you are brave, geese scare the hell out of me, they are evil and mean.
I like turtles too, they are even on my purse, turtles with lil' peace signs on their backs.
No Turtle's here even though I live 100 feet from the large creek that supplies all the water for this area. The Geese fly over here but only stop to rest on their way North or South. We have Ducks all over the city park. They pretty much own the place. Ever fall they have an adopt a Duck program but you have to swear not to eat them.
I was always partial to Black Sabbath myself.
charlene - maybe restocking turtles could be a good election issue.
yellowdog - you have to hear the plant's version. it's excellent.
heff - i love zep too. it's just nice to see old rockers mature rather than just make a fortune touring and playing their old stuff.
siren - sounds like you have lots of class. i like your avatar.
mr wit - maybe your turtles have stealth technology.
The geese always win.
Your sentiments do you credit, Sir. I know little about turtles, but wish them well in their struggles. Do you have positive feelings about apes as well?
secret - i've shot a few geese so they do occasionally lose.
gorilla - i never met an ape i didn't like.
He loves us sons of bitches, and he loves you bitches also, he's doing a hell of a lot better than I am in that respect.
We don't have any turtles here, I find that odd, got some geese though, not a lot but I enjoy watching them.
So I managed to get up a camping post this evening.

Maybe he just wanted to be in the apartment to live with her? Geez, can't a fucking turtle get a break in a safe place on this 3rd rock from the sun?
I enjoyed watching Robert Plant on 'Hoda and Cathy Lee' the other day..Cathy Lee isn't really aging like fine wine.
billy - you old son of a bitch, someone has to love you and it looks like i got the job.
sling - i never understood what frank gifford saw in her. does she ever shut her trap?
