from time to time people ask why i almost never capitalize letters. i am of the firm belief that the capitalization of words is a privilege not a right much the same way as having a driver's license is a privilege and not a right.
an extreme example would be mahmoud ahmadinejad. what has that hate mongering little prick ever done to merit the capitalizing of his name? rather than spend time pondering if a particular word merits being capitalized i just decided to hell with it. save capitalization for special circumstances, like Ruby's birthday or anything relating to Shane Macgowan.
so if i ever capitalize your name, you know i think you're pretty fucking special.
so what do i think is special?
the soundtrack from I'm Not There.
i love you Sons of Bitches.

I'm with you..and i generally only do it if my fingers remember..most of the time..not..
Shit, now I'm gonna' be paranoid every time someone doesn't capalitize me..
(You will, won't you??)
I capitalize because it makes me appear to be well educated and cultured, and all that shit.
Well, others that think they are cultured read my blogs so that impresses, it's like wearing a suit and tie, these fucking monkeys are impressed with shit like that.
I do try to avoid capitalizing god, allah, christians, muslims and words like that unless it's the first word in the sentence.
Maybe it doesn't matter being as I'm trying to piss them all off anyway. Fuck, honey doesn't work either, might as well be pissed off.
There is a character in a PG Wodehouse novel who didn't capitalize the first letter of his name. I can't remember the name, but it was even sillier than "ahmadinejad".
yellowdog - my fingers don't remember very much these days.
shrinky - yes i think it can be easily done, just meet me down on highway sixty one.
billy - i've mistaken you for many things but cultured isn't one on them.
gb - the character must have been very self assured to shed the need for capitalization.
I REspect yOUR right TO caPitalizE What ever YoU Want.
I tend to capitalize out of educational habit when writing blog stuff or stories.
But when I chat, I don't usually bother with it. Makes it a faster response, unless the person I am chatting with wants me to use capitals and that has happened.
Nice song. Thanks.
Smart ass :-)
What I can't figure out about ahmadinejad is how he manages to keep a consistent 3-day beard growth look. He should either do the full Mullah beard of shave his ugly face. He looks like a goddam homeless bum.
tex - ThankS!
ananda - it's hard not to capitalize using microsoft word.
billy - smart arse, that's me.
robert - he's a tough guy to figure out. sometimes he sounds very intelligent and other times he sounds like a raving lunatic. maybe he has syphilis.
As a hard core grammarian, I like your capitalization ideas, though I'd still retain caps for the beginning of a sentence for purposes of readability. A couple centuries ago just about every noun, particularly abstract nouns, was capitalized.
bob - i can live with caps at the beginning of a sentence.
i love your header..
