turn out the lights...

turn out the lights, the party's over!

i've been on medical leave for a few months and have to report back to the cracker factory on december 12. a few months of eating candy, watching tv and reading books has taken it's toll and the time has come to shape up or ship out. i've put on a few pounds and the challenge now is to drop those pounds so i can comfortably fit into my work duds. for the past few days i've had bean soup for lunch and dinner with no desserts and no halloween chocolates. it's killing me!

to show her support for my challenge, the lovely mrs myshkin went out and bought me half a dozen doughnuts this morning. so far i've resisted, my spirit is willing but my flesh is weak.

i didn't realize it but one of things in our culture that makes people fat is walmart!

DON'T BELIEVE ME -READ THIS!!

i had this nightmare that i was kicked out of my office and banished to a fecking cubicle. hey, wait a minute, it's not a dream. it really happened! what the fuck, i'll just spend more time on tralfamadore.

fecking cracker factory, i get no respect!

i love you sons of bitches.

Guess I missed the fact that you have been on medical leave for a few months, or why.

Anyway, lots of places sell things that will make one fat, any grocery store does.

I eat a lot of shit that could make me fat, I just don't eat enough of it to make me fat.

Hell, I could eat nothing but what makes you fat and not get fat because I don't eat so much of it that it can make me fat.

People get fat because they are fucking idiots.

Well, spank me. I have to agree in part with BBC on this one. People take in more than they burn and that is what causes fat. It doesn't matter if its in mom's kitchen or junk at McD's or WalMart.

bill - i'm not fat, in fact most people say i'm too thin. it's just a matter of feeling comfortable and being in better shape than most of the young turks at the cracker factory.

silly - i respectfully disagree. all calories are not created equal just as all humans are not created equal when it comes to metabolisms. i'm guessing you've seen the movie supersize me.

Life is uncertain, eat dessert first.

I've seen pictures of you so I know you are not fat.

So glad you must be better. Your heading back to work for what every reason.
I had to click on wal mart link and just couldn't resist. I was at wal-mart last night.
I have a love hate thoughts on wal-mart...But I can see why lot of the wal-mart shopper is fat. If more walk around the store instead of using the cart...burn calories.

Coffee is on.

Actually I have not seen Supersize Me yet. Don't know if I want to. It sounds disgusting to me.

You are right, not all foods are bad. Not all people burn calories at the same rate. The point I failed to make was that a person has to balance what is right for them and it doesn't matter where the food comes from. If you don't burn it, it goes to fat.

You get a lot of exercise on your bikes and taking the bus, etc. rather than driving everywhere. You do get out and move... you will lose it fast. BTW good news that you are going back to work. Glad to hear that!

Eating less makes you live longer. It's been proved in scientific experiments on creatures from the nematode worm to the rhesus monkey.

Is a cracker factory a place for making biscuits or just a factory where white guys work?

thimscool said...

White guys don't work on factories anymore unless they're performing an inspection.

I suspect Billy is a trader of sorts.

The key is exercize.

bill - i find eating a meal is just a necessary evil before getting to the dessert.

dora - increasing my coffee consumption would probably speed the weight loss. i might just try it.

silly - you gotta watch supersize me! if i was the secretary of education i'd make the schools show it every september. of course, macdonalds would pay off a lot of people to block it.

gb - white guys are a dying breed at our cracker factory. asians with pentium quad core processors in their brain are taking over.

thims - i'll trade you a can of wd40 for a can of silicone spray.

I heard on the news that your natives have stopped the building of a pipeline across B.C.

Frankly, I think Canada should keep its oil and refine it to sell to Canadians.

Remember, the last monkeys with oil are the winners.

I'll trade a can of WD-40 for a can of Brake Clean.

I believe that most of the petroleum products used in this area comes from oil shipped from Alaska.

my tits weigh more than you..good luck going back to work..don't snap and bip any one.

billy pilgrim said...

bill - our indians always complain but it's all about money. pay them off and the problem will be solved.

yellowdog - wow, your tits must be gold filled to weigh that much. i like gold!

The lovely Mrs. Myshkin must want to keep you to herself. It's usually the husbands who sabotage their wives diets.

Our injuns shut down a big project here a few years ago, they couldn't be bought.

Lot of places you can't dig up and build on around here, remains will be found and they'll shut the project down.

In fact the injuns ended up owning that property and it's a good size chunk of waterfront property.

I believe shopping at WalMart not only makes people fat, it makes people stupid... or maybe it just attracts them.

BBC said...

I shop at Walmart and the fat parking cones irritate me.

These are good..
RODNEY

billy pilgrim said...

nance - nah, she just loves to shop!

bill - making a deal with our indians is a total waste of time. if things don't work out, they'll just demand a new deal and they always get it. of course the chiefs get rich and the braves live in poverty.

robert - if rodney was still alive he could do some good bits about not getting respect at walmarts.

Good luck on returning to the cracker factory.
I hate to go to Wal-Mart, too big, bad vibes.

They should open a Wal-Mart in Ethiopia, those folks could use a little extra weight.

tex - excellent point on ethiopia!! i wish i'd thought of it.
