let's make a deal

the national hockey league has locked out its players with the result being no hockey being played at this time. at the same time the republicans and democrats cannot come to terms on some phoney baloney budget deal that will allow them to continue spending much more money than they have coming into the country's coffers.

the question is, which dispute will be settled first? it's easy to say that settling a sports dispute is the easier task. after all, the amount of money involved is miniscule compared to the trillions being bandied about in the fiscal cliff debacle. but there is one big difference between the two disputes. the national hockey league dispute involves real money where as the fiscal cliff does not involve any real money belonging to the 2 parties acting like children.

i'm going to go out on a limb and predict that the hockey dispute will be settled first. by being settled i mean a hard deal that will stand for several years. i don't think it takes a genius to predict that the so called fiscal cliff will not be solved in any meaningful way, probably some band aid solution will be achieved that will allow both sides to continue posturing and proselytizing ad infinitum.

here's the problem facing the united states as i see it:

one party doesn't understand science and one party doesn't understand mathematics.

leave it up to lewis black to shed a little light on the budget dispute.

i love you sons of bitches and happy fucking new year.

It's the people's fault: they voted for a Democrat president and a Congress controlled by Republican tea-baggers. I'd like to see what happens if there's no deal and the automatic tax rises and spending cuts occur. It would be a good experiment in applied economics.

gb - yes, the people ultimately decide and i'm sure that both sides are keeping a very close eye on the public opinion polls. right now the dow futures are down 228 points. watching the futures will be more exciting that watching the football games today.

It's all smoke, mirrors and bullshit, American is stupid and getting angrier, there's even talk of it getting really pissed and taking up arms and bringing the government down, it's best to just relax and kick back and watch the show.

After the down-to-the-second Vikings vs Packers game just concluded, not sure I agree about th excitement level, I think football wins...at least today:) and now its Cowboys and Redskins...futures are gonna have to wait a day :)

BBC said...

There is no future, I've already pointed out that America going down the tubes and taking Canada with it.

But it is cheaper to live here according to a lady friend that has a business in Victoria and is working at retiring here and spends all the time she can here.

She bought a home here and is going to sell the one in Victoria.

bill - the futures are now up 29 points so someone thinks things will work out. we don't need you guys to bring us down, a spike in interest rates would do it and of course higher interest rates would make your debt a little difficult to manage.

doc - i'm a redskins fan tonight, i never thought that would happen but the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Redskins R Us here, as well...except for my 9-year-old, ut what does he know?!

This 'apparent' ignorance is of no consequence Mr. pilgrim. Both Parties not only understand the wonder of politics, they also know 'The People' are deeply, deeply stupid.
And at least one more of 'The People' will be stupefied even further with the forced ingestion of Xanax-esque pharmaceuticals.

"......Although many might not believe it, underneath it all, BBC's a good man, a good friend...he's been great to me and my friend who's battling cancer. I may draw fire for saying so, but there it is......"

We all believed this at one time or another, but then the reality of his psychopathy surfaced - and when it did, it did so quite abruptly.

"......he's been great to me and my friend who's battling cancer....."

Ted Bundy was also very charming and a 'great friend' to all - right up to the moment he slit your throat.

".....I may draw fire for saying so, but there it is....."

You will not draw fire. You will draw only sympathy and despair - we all know what is in store for you. You will pay dearly for this 'truthful' friendship you now 'enjoy'. Maybe not today; maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life. I reckon he'll be screaming his love for you from his Mobile Home rooftop soon enough.

Research his Criminal Record - it's in the Public Domain and easily sourced.

You fucking cunt, if I get Dexter on anyone it will be you if I locate you.

I invite anyone to check my 'Criminal Record'.

People have watched me go meet others for years on my blogs and no one has disappeared.

But you are on my list, and the only one on it, the planet would be a better place without you on it. Fucking cunt, you wouldn't make a pimple on Teri's ass.

BBC so eloquently burbled,

"......Fucking cunt, you wouldn't make a pimple on Teri's ass......"

What about Helen's? Is she Eminem-esque 'cold product' now?

Was that a Death Threat BBC?
What does Professor Teri think about death threats?
Is your psychopathy coming to the fore already?
Oh dear.

And as far as your Criminal Record is concerned, "The Lady doth protest too much, me thinks."

I for one, would love to witness the demise of Fucking Aquarians.

BBC?

She can be found here.

The "1 - 800" number does not work in the USA. Use the Area Code "613" instead. Ask for "Dr. Daw Mi Mi San" or just "Miriam"

I wouldn't drive across town to remove the fucking cunt. But if she showed up at my door she'd be leaving this rock.

All of us are capable of killing and she's pushed the wrong buttons too many times.

And another warning!

Avoid the Daemonic One's new Blog, "Neurotica Non Grata".

I have discovered that if you spend more than 25 minutes 'connected' to her site AND view more that 35 'pages', a vicious "DAT-bot" is downloaded to your computer. This Death and Threats 'bot' is a concatenate malicious html code which will allow Leslie, The Daemonic One, to control certain aspects of your hardware and software. Before you know it, and without your consent or control, 'your' computer will be posting 'Death Threats' in the Handy Comments Facilities of all the blogs you have ever visited!.

The ultimate solution to this infection is to go into your "File Search" command string and search for all "System 32" files - and then delete them. This is, however, very drastic.

I recommend the following Anti DATbot Virus software.

The quickest and cheapest programme to install would be the one from the Falconia AV Software Group whose DATbot software is legendary. The moment a DATbot executes command code, the resultant 'data packet' is 'intercepted' by the AV software and returned deep into your computer's primary RAM code and rendered harmless.
The other AV Software comes from Brady-Pat-Riot (BPR) Industries - an old stand-by whose DATbot killing acumen is also legendary!

Forewarned is forearmed!

I understand now BBC.
You don't mean it, right?
You actually want to post a photograph of a cupcake on your blog and declare an undying love for me, right?
You've visited "Neurotica", haven't you?

BBC said...

No, I have not looked at Neurotica, I have no interest in following a fucking cunt around.

Anonymous said...

You are prevaricating again BBC.
The Daemonic One knows!
Best you admit it now. It will go better for you later when your DATbot infestation betrays you again.
Nowt but terminological inexactitudes issue forth from your lips BBC.
Those same lips which dream to engage in Reverse Prolapsed Coprophagic Fellatio - ALL THE TIME.

I know my sesquipedalia confuses you, but I cannot apologise - part of your DATbot infection I reckon.

For the sake of your own blood pressure, BBC, I think it best that you only come here when you know Ms. Teri is hovering about to protect you.
Out of respect for her, we will pretty much ignore your vileness and tolerate your presence with a modicum of civility.

who is the daemonic one?

i'll heed your warning and not visit it but i am curious.

True to fashion they took it to the edge to maximize the drama and now we get more empty calories to stave off the wreckoning. You were right, Pilgrim... strangely enough the puppets did what the masters indicated and now we pop the corks to celebrate our unsinkable voyage.

Which party understands math?

Happy New Year everyone. Bah. Give me that damn bottle.

thimscool said...

Are we still here? OK then... show's over. Back to work.

billy pilgrim said...

thims - i'm basically optimistic on the capital markets. i think governments around the world will continue to be very business friendly. that might not translate into good jobs for people without the skills that are currently in demand but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

i hope you're not a RESOLUTIONIST

thimscool said...

Pilgrim, how can you be optimistic when the G8 debt to GDP ratio sits where it does?

It's like we just got finished with a world war, although it looks more likely that we are about to start one.

Whence your optimism?

thimscool said...

Please make a good explanation, because I would dearly love to share it.

billy pilgrim said...

thims - i said i'm optimistic that there will be money to made in the capital markets.

there are still huge problems with your health care system that have not been addressed. combine obesity, diabetes, probable soaring costs of healthy food and health care costs that are spiraling out of control and it's hard to see a balanced budget any time soon let alone paying down the debt. toss in rising interest rates and the outlook for society in general is bleak. but like i said, there is money to be made.

i've been optimistic that the hockey lockout will be settled for the past few months and have been wrong so i could be wrong about everything else too.

don't worry, be happy. perhaps you've forgot the title of ruby's blog:

ENJOY THE MOMENT!

this moment is called the present because it's a gift, enjoy it!

You know just how to cheer me up, Pilgrim!

The markets did well today, pilgrim.
Did you benefit?
The Tutor lost a bit - he's still day-trading in RIMM and it went down a tad too much today.
I love it when he loses money. He gets so cranky and is more fun to play with than even BBC.

billy pilgrim said...

aquarian - i deleted a comment that wasn't up to your usual standard of excellence.

my best buddy is short on several companies that did very well today. i'm sure he got a call from his bank this afternoon. the dreaded margin call!

The information for that comment came from here

Could you, maybe, delete the source too?
I know Leslie would appreciate it.

Why would the idiot short today?
Has he not been watching CNN?

It appears your deletion of the source has worked.

The above three comments are a copy-paste from:

"Spirits Uncensored"

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 05, 2006

Coincidentally, 13 days before The Tutor witnessed the assassination of a Yankee at the Pantawee Hotel in Nong Khai, Thailand.
He got sprayed with the poor man's brains and blood.

Sorry.

Remember, they have a Court in The Hague for that sort of 'criminal'.

It's simply not christian of you.

billy pilgrim said...

one more time, please respect ruby's blog.

You mean you were amused at one point as I eviscerated the psychopath?

Winston Churchill: "Would you sleep with me for 1,000,000 pounds?"

Her: "Yes, Winston I would."

Winston Churchill: "Would you sleep with me for one pound?"

Her: "No! What kind of a girl do you think I am?"

Winston Churchill: "Well we've already established that, we're just haggling over the price now."

Anonymous said...

Apologies Mr. Pilgrim.
I do try, unlike the Daemonic One, to stay just this side of the boundary to remain in the realm of propriety. I did believe my comment was fine. I believed it fine ONLY because I sourced the information from the horse's mouth, as it were - it was all already 'out there'. My 'Three-Comment concatenate" was an ego-driven and stupid response to your first deletion. I apologise especially for that. Again, though, it was all his words!
I would not have revealed here information that I was able to glean from 'other' non-blog sources - that is fighting dirty and I like to think I would not do that.
Besides, The Tutor has lots of dirt on the old boy. The Tutor can access US Government records - legally. I don't need it, the poor sod, BBC, sinks himself.

The 'Hitler' comment was not at all meant to be derogatory. I was being hyperbolic in an attempt to get you to delete ALL evidence that any of the offending comments ever appeared.
It makes the Comments Facility look prettier I think.

In closing, I blame Leslie. She makes me do evil things by withholding her sexual favours from The Tutor who in turn forces me to be 'questionable' to appease Leslie and therefore enhance his sex life.

Leslie said...

Blaming Leslie would fall under the category of "fighting dirty".
