the time has come for all good coins to come to the aid their cyclist. after one adventurous year of cycling in mostly good weather. (only fools and peasants cycle in the pouring rain) the fruits of my labor have been tallied:
and the grand total is: 120 coins or $240 canadian. lucky me. now the question is what to spend it on?
who fuck knew canada had 2 warships? i guess prime minister harper felt he needed 2 boats in order to call himself an admiral. unfortunately is looks like we only have 1 qualified captain; 2 CANADIAN WARSHIPS COLLIDE. i suspect the ship at fault was under the command of a nine iron. this is only a guess but those guys can't drive for sour apples.
oh well, summer is almost over and it's time for all the little hooligans to return to the classroom. ha, ha!
$240! if that isn't nice, what is?

Congratulations on the $240!
Spend it wisely.
Well, while $ 240.00(cdn) ain't bad, it ain't no non- reciprocal mountain man blowjob now is it?
Finally a half decent tune but why always so fucking mournful?
Smoke some hash and try this one, Harry.

Even better? Open two windows and start the same song about 20 seconds apart.
Like "Row, Row, Row, Your Boat", but amazing.
And Pilgrim, you might like this, if you can get past his accent.
Sorry if I've already linked that...I am getting a little senile.
Yes, that's more like it.
Mohan Veena and Harry get it on, oh yeah!
Lend an ear to Hugh Laurie's latest if you havn't yet.
i like the hash idea.
thanks tex - if ruby was going back to school i could buy her some supplies but she was expelled permanently.
harry - mournful, 9 summers lost is probably more mournful than most of the stuff i post. sorry, house doesn't do much for me.
leslie - the intro to rueben's song looks like our gulf islands. i've checking our retirement properties there. maybe i'll run into harry on salt spring.
bob - i find hash to be a little redundant with the potent fish.
pilgrim, I know house from nothing.
Hugh Laurie plays some of the best piano, with one of the worlds best blues / jazz musicians you've never heard.
harry - i've heard bill evans.
apparently old hugh isn't even notable:
NOTABLE JAZZ PIANISTS
there must be a thousand names on that list and old hugh didn't make the cut.
pilgrim, ya got me there, can't say that I'm familiar with bill evans.
Many great players on that
It's for sure. Erroll Garner is incomparable; one of the worlds greats, Nate Cole was an especially fine pianist. George Shearing. McCoy Tyner.... The list do go on.
You would be glad you noticed either one of Laurie's latest efforts.
Canada must have more than 2 warships - that's not enough for a navy. My guess is 20. 240 bucks should be enough for a couple of trips in a glider. That's an experience worth having.
Now there's an excellent suggestion.
harry - may i recommend chet baker/bill evans, the legendary sessions.
gb - england sold us some used submarines about 10 years ago that still don't work: USED SUBMARINES!
thims - you came to right place if you're looking for excellent suggestions.
pilgrim, I'll take your Chet Baker and recommend,
bunny berigan -
The Pied Piper 1934 - 1940
thanks harry, old bunny is pretty good. decent recordings too.
Nice little pile you earned! Something will present itself for purchase, I imagine.
Your warships must have been playing chicken.
62.5 of those coins would have bought the nice black powder rifle I bought this weekend.
silly - i guess one of them zigged when she should have zagged.
king - a new rifle? if that isn't nice what is?
I picked the rifle up for Terry, he's been wanting one since I got interested in black powder and the mountain man stuff.
There was a man there that demonstrated making a fire with a flint and stone, fuck, he got a flame going the first time he struck it, we couldn't start a fire any faster using our matches or lighters, I was impressed.
you're the fucking king, i can't believe he was better at starting a fire.
he must have soaked his kindling in kerosene of some other accelerant.
He's better with a flint and steel than I am, that's for sure, but he did use char fuzz (I've never seen it before) instead of char cloth, it takes right off when a spark hits it.
I haven't rode a bike for a while...but recently I been out walking...Hubby keep telling me to hook up to broad band...Look like I should be here more often.
Coffee is On
Those coins look like an inversion of the 2€ coin...cool!
Sorry it's been so long since I chimed in, but with summer petering out, look 4 me back at the blog-helm & on the two-way.
If $240 clams won't get you a good bike @ Canadian Tire or Wal-Manaca/HouseOfSatan, try secondhand, garage sales, etc.
Billy, well done, my friend. Good for your health and equally good for the environment.
