earth day

happy earth day!

i got to wear my new t-shirt today.

not only that, i got a free cup of coffee at starbucks for bringing my own mug. but i still think their coffee is over rated and will never buy a cup although a few years ago someone gave me a starbucks gift card which i used to buy some half priced holiday coffee beans.

i love you sons of bitches.

I love a good Uranus joke. "Is Uranus bigger than the moon?" was a popular one back in my circus days.

Ah Earth day. Now it's over and we can get back to not giving a shit about the future species that made all of this possible in the first place.

gb - "Is Uranus bigger than the moon?" - thanks, i'd never heard that phrase before and now plan to use it at every possible opportunity.

thims - yes, back to business. but i'll relax a little first.

I remember when you bought those beans.

I take my own cool mug into the bar for social hour.

If I don't survive my operation in the morning it was fucking nice knowing ya.

steve - i'd expect nothing less from the gigolo pig farmer.

bill - can i have one of your guns if you croak?

Deadwood coming to Amazon Prime in mid-May.

Pilgrim, can't you afford a gun yourself? You can get Bill's advice, which is generally pretty good.

FWIW, I'd say get a M&P 15-22 rifle... should be doable in Canada. It's only a 22lr, and yes it has 25 rnd mags, but they probably make commie mags for y'all (and we could send you some real ones). Low recoil, trains you to use an AR-15, accurate, fast to get on target, and to unload the mag. Addictive. Super fun. Quite with the right ammo. Easy to care for. It is the Sonata of the rifle world.

You can have my 30-30 to replace the one you gave up.

Yes, a 1964 model, they are a bit more valued than the standard model.

I'm back home already after my operation this morning.

In at 6 out at 11....

Piece of cake, they don't fuck around here, head em' up, roll em' out.

i remember reading a story where some hospitals referred to it as a drive-through operation.

how long is your recovery period?

BBC said...

Not sure, I tend to heal fast, the doc said a month.

Bill, mate, can't you heal yourself, my friend? :-P

Nah, seriously, hope the 'op' goes well, Bill. When they've finished, I'm sure the 'old pecker' will rise to the occasion again. Don't forget the classic, "Nurse, could you please give me a bed-bath?" trick - they were at it all day years back when I came off my motorbike and they saw the enormity of what they had to play with and wash! :-P

Peace,
