12 big ones!

it is with great pleasure that i announce ruby's 12th birthday. as i've mentioned in the past today is an estimate of her birthday, give or take a month. we adopted the little angel from animal control and the rest is history. she was an incredibly high maintenance dog for the first year or so, suffering from separation anxiety whenever she was left alone. she specialized in chewing through electrical cords. how she wasn't electrocuted, i'll never know. she's old and arthritic now and has a very difficult time climbing the stairs. shit, occasionally she won't get off the couch when the mail is delivered.

have i ever mentioned that ruby doesn't like cops?

i love you sons of bitches

In equivalent human years, I'm guessing she's old enough to be Mick's sister.

Billy, mate, please give the lovely Ruby a big kiss 'n an equally big cuddle from yours truly, Eileen, Pebble and other folk, here in the UK.

I actually thought that the 'old Rubes' was 13 - but, there you go. Anyway, Billy, my friend, Ruby's a fine dog, one might say a testament to your loving kindness and tenderness, not-to-mention, devotion to her. I take my hat off!

If she can't blow out the 12 candles on her cake, due to lack of respiratory puff, then why not ask Bill-Bob to blow them out, after all, word on the street has it that he's good at all things 'puff' related! :-P

To You & Yours, I Wish You a Happy & Peaceful Night!

Peace,

Steve...

PS L'al Pebble's off colour at the minute, God Bless her. Took her to the vets after she began puking heavily. There's a dog virus going around these _mean_ parts at the minute. There were also concerns that she'd swallowed something nasty, due to the fact that she kept retching. The vet noticed an ulcer in the top of her mouth, and fingers-crossed, touch-wood, after she'd been given a couple of injections, she seems to be on the mend.

This of course could be BS! :-P

Have a good 'un, Rubes! xxx

Ciao,

Steve...

steve - not only has ruby made to age 12, she's never been to a vet in her life!

a guy across the lane blew $7500 on his little decorator dog and it died a few months later.

Do Pit Bulls have short life spans?

Cats must be tough critters, even when they get old and arthritic most of them can still jump up on something three feet high right up until a couple of days before they keel over. My cats seem to still be young and still jump up on Helen’s kitchen window sill, it’s just over five feet high. The old tom cat can still jump up on the warm truck hood, I figure he can last another five years, hell, he may outlive me.

See Leslie for blowing or sucking the life out of things.

as lazarus long once said, never try to outstubborn a cat.

the same can be said for pitbulls.

Billy, are you serious, my friend. It's virtually mandatory over here in the UK to regularily get their pets, especially dogs and cats checked-out, otherwise you can face being pulled-up for neglect, despite your dog being in perfect health and being loved and cared for. The vet I saw, advised me to get Pebble's coat trimmed, despite it being regularily combed and not being too knotted, merely because he said that the RSPCA could charge us with neglect due to the fact that her fur was minutely tangled.

I told him that I'd be more than happy to contest this with the RSPCA. Pebble's spoilt rotten, loved like a baby, and they're going to try and tell me that she's being neglected because of a slight piece of entangled hair?
F-That! Anyway, we're getting her hair cut on Monday! It'll be the first in her nine-month existence!

To You & Yours, I Wish You a Happy & Peaceful Night & To The Rube, Please Give Her a Massive Hug & a Belly Rub! :-P

Peace,

Steve...
