farewell sweet princess

ruby left her corporeal shell a few weeks ago and took her rightful place in valhalla. she had a very good run on this planet and i have been very verklempt since she left.

she was a true beast in her prime and a magnificent beast at that.

farewell sweet princess, you protected us for over 12 years and for that i'm very thankful.

i love you sons of bitches.

It is hard to lose a good friend like that. Sometimes the best thing is to get another one soon.

Regal princess with such a lovely face. A mighty fine song for a tribute.

I can know the ache but not your depth of it. Valhalla indeed! Peace.

Heartfelt condolences, amigo. I recently read a blog post about the origin of the expression "a dog is man's best fried" and it make me think of you, so this news is a sad irony. I can't remember whose post it was - it could have been Dixie above.

YOU SHOULD GET A PUPPY..

thanks for all your king thoughts, it's going to take a while to get over this. a ruby version 2.0 will probably have to wait until the spring.

Spring is a good time for a frisky new puppy to be teething...

Or a Rupert?

FUCK. I lost my Savannah a few weeks ago but for some fucked up reason I'm crying more over Ruby...

And she, too, looks like a saint (albeit a mischevious one). Perhaps she and Savannah are frolicking in Valhallah. I am learning to live a life without Savannah, but a life without Ruby on your blog seems unimaginable. I am thinking of you, my friend...

Yeah, yeah, it can be rough losing a dog but it soon passes. Cowboy up. Try living for fifteen years without any pussy.

king - i need good weather to house train a wee beast.

dixie - ruperts aren't us.

doc - valhalla sounds like a cool place. i better start looking for someone to build me a viking longship.

bob - thanks bob, the circle of life can be very painful indeed.

This broke my heart. I have thought about this with Makita. To say good by. I know your heart is broken. I have tears right now. For a dog I have never met. But I knew her through you, through your eyes. I am so sorry for your loss my friend. So sorry.
